As promised...here is part deux of the amazing holiday dresses from THE HEIGHT. This one definitely takes it up a notch!

The Alexia Maxi Dress is so fierce! I would classify this dress as 'sexy-classy.' it has appropriate mesh paneling and then a classic high neck that catapults it from a 'run-of-the-mill' black maxi to a glamorous dress that you can rock at your holiday soirees. You will definitely be the focal point of the party in the Alexa.

As you can see, the length is proper at 65 inches long and it's rayon-lycra blend hugs all the right curves. It is, like I said in the last post, a show stopper! I think that every tall women should have a dress like this in their closet not only for the holidays but really any blacktieish event that comes up. The 'In case of event emergency...break glass for spectacular dress,' dress.

BTW...you may see some stretch marks behind that mesh. You know how it goes. We grow. We stretch. We have marks. That's the real deal my friends. The sides of my upper thighs were like what in the world is going on lol. But it's all good. I will take these beauty marks any day to keep my Tall frame:-)

Anywho...if you decide to purchase this fab dress, don't forget to use the exclusive code for 20% off: TALLSWAG20. Happy Tall shopping beautiful:-)

Seeing Red

Spring is definitely peeking though (and we love her) but until she is here for good, I have been spending the last chilly days I have in casual chic style.

I will always rock a fierce heel but when I work a lot (which seems like always nowadays), I tend to gravitate towards low-key looks in my downtime.

Today's outfit is a perfect example of casual meeting chic. It's completely comfy with an edge. The longline vest (which can be dressed up or down), gives the all black a pinch of drama and the pop-of-red Jordans pull the whole look together. The oversized clutch really wasn't strategically planned. I simply picked it because a bag wouldn't flow but I had a lot of stuff to carry that day.

Now you may notice that I am wearing my trusty Long Sleeve Jersey Body from the TTYA x Long Tall Sally collection and that is because I wear it with everything! It's one of those famed, basic pieces that you can layer with pieces that are not necessarily tall (like the longline vest). Invest in the basics and you will unlock a whole new wardrobe!

So that's my version of casual-chic dahling...what do you rock in your downtime beautiful?

Ah. The infamous tunic. You know...the shirt that is supposed to go past your booty but usually ends up just looking like a typical shirt on us. Yep. That tunic.

Well, today I have a real, tall tunic that shatters all of your tunic disappointments. It fits just like a bonafied, tried and true tunic should. Long, with long arms and full booty coverage. Cha-ching my tall friend!

The Two Pocket Tunic Shirt is one of the new arrivals in the Long Tall Sally Spring Collection. I am obviously in love with the fit, but also the versatility and vibrant color. This season, blue has in many ways become the new black so you can rock it in many different ways with many different colors and patterns.

I love pairing blue and black together and stripes are my jam right now so I whipped up this look and absolutely love it. And before I get any comments...yes...this is the hat you have seen in like 3 of my other posts. Listen, I wear things more than once (gasp). In addition, I have a rather large head which makes selecting hats a difficult task. Thus, when I find one that works, I rocketh it ofteneth.

I also have to talk about this crossbody clutch. I found the actual clutch at a used bag place in Oakland for $6.99. It had an ugly rope handle, so me with my DIY self, cut it off and replaced it with black chain and clasps. I love it because you can adjust the length really easily with the clasps and, well, it looks cool.

I really want to say something else whitty but it's 1amish and I am one tired tall girl so I leave you to sleep and have sweet dreams. Smooches!

I live for a lot of things and one of them is a beautiful shoe. So when I stumbled upon Smash Shoes on Instagram, I was elated! Not only to do they have a line of classy and sassy shoes, they offer them in sizes 10-13! When I saw the sizes I did the same happy dance that I do whenever I discover a new tall find...

It's crazy because DJ Jazzy Jeff comes out of nowhere with a drum set and everything.

Anywho, I can see myself wearing these cuties in so many situations. From the Leopard Rollie ($99) with a constructed midi and an oversized sweater to the nude Amber ($79) with pretty much anything, multiple pairs need to be rocked in the near future.

So that's the 411 on the the debut Smash Shoes line. If you have already had the pleasure of trying them on your footsies, share with your tall sisters. We need to know all about it!

LTS Pop Up Shop

I am a huge fan of pop up shops. Unfortunately for us, most of our options are online so when an opportunity pops up (pun intended) to have an actual shopping experience and try things on, I sprint to it like I was in the Olympics. Seriously. I would qualify if the finish line had a pop-up shop on the other side.

Perhaps my favorite pop up shop experience happened yesterday at the Long Tall Sally Pop Up Shop in San Francisco. I have attended one before (video HERE) but for many reasons this one was particularly special...

I arrived and was obviously super happy about it. Who wouldn't be!? I was also ready to make some purchases as well...hence the open handbag.

When you walk in, you automatically feel like the experience was made for you. Off top, the clothing looks tall. No lie. I almost felt like it looked too long because of the racks we are used to seeing but then I snapped out of it because something being too long is just a ludicrous thought that no proper tall girl should ever have.

The selection of jeans with long inseams was out of this world. I guarantee you, you won't find this many in one spot anywhere else. Click play and prepared to be amazed.

Not only did they have a great selection of clothing, they also had a selection of shoes up to size 15. Now, the shoe selection definitely wasn't as large as the clothing selection but it was still a rare opportunity to walk in and try on a pair of shoes in our size. Even if you don't walk out with a pair of shoes, it's a great way to find out your fit for future online orders.

After checking out the scene, it was off to the races! When I say my friend Asha and I tried on everything, I mean we tried on the ENTIRE pop up. It was so much fun! The arms were long enough, the skirts hit the floor, the pants covered those ankles and the outerwear was on another level. I mean, I almost didn't take the padded parka coat off. You were seriously going to see me in it for the entire fall/winter season cold or not.

Can you blame me? Just look at the tall, warm fabulousness!

And can we talk about the actual dressing room? While they definitely have private changing rooms, there was a communal dressing room with a bunch of mirrors. Now, I know that seems strange but it was a blast! Everyone was styling each other, laughing, comparing tall stories and having a good ol time.

But the real reasons why this pop up shop experience is so special, are the tall, beautiful ladies that you meet there. Every single person that I met at the pop up shop changed my life in some way, shape or form. It's amazing what can happen when we just talk to each other! Being in a room where everyone understands the gift that we were given is so incredibly powerful.

While it was amazing meeting everyone, I nearly broke into tears when I met Josie. She is the beautiful 14 year old girl on the far right. When I saw her, I immediately thought of myself at that age. She carries her height like a rock star but we all know what it's like to grow up tall. I immediately felt a connection with her and our conversation about tall life was truly a blessing that will continue to inspire me.

So when and where can you take part in this amazing experience? Check the schedule below and click for more information.

While you are there (or even when you order online) don't forget to share your experience with other tall girls out there. We need to know! Don't hold the good, bad or ugly back from your tall sisters. We must always stick together!

Happy pop up shopping tall beauties!
