Payless

Speak Up

When I saw this jumpsuit, I literally shed a tall tear. Yes. I am emotional by nature. Sappy commercials can trigger watery eyes but this jumpsuit called out to me. It was like hey Alicia girl! Not only is it animal print (which you know I live for), it’s also LONG ENOUGH in every way. You wanna hear the most amazing part? It was only $29. That’s not a typo my friend.

Now. Don’t hate me…but this beauty was so popular that it flew off the shelf before I could shoot it BUT it’s just one of the many pieces that are the new COLLUSION line from ASOS. The site describes the line as:

A new brand for the coming-of-age generation that refuses to compromise on principle or style, COLLUSION believes clothes that celebrate self-expression and inclusivity should be the norm. It's no surprise then that it's linked up with six inspirational creatives to shape its first collection, which includes denim, knitwear, dresses and loads more.

Now apparently this was made for something called the Gen Z that apparently I am aged out of but I don’t give a dang. I really like a lot of the pieces and will rock them as my older self pleases. The design and the price are winners for this lady.

I also love that they had a collective of six young designers, models, artists, and influencers that created the line. That is dope. Creative collaboration is my jam. Let’s just pray that ASOS calls me to help create their next Tall line. *speaks it into existence*

Now, let’s talk about these beautiful sock boots. They are from none other than Payless. Payless has been a staple in my closet since I was young. As a whipper snapper, not only were they the only shoes my Mom could afford, they were also the only ones that could fit. They have been holding it down for size 10-13 for years and continue to step their game up design wise. These joints are a testament to that.

While we are speaking things into existence, Holla at me Payless! We have a capsule collection to make, as well as a sick commercial that I have already scripted. Let’s do this!

See…they really are long enough. I knew you were wondering.

I will be rocking this jumpsuit a lot. That $29 will be put to good use! Don’t be surprised if you see me running down the street wearing the suit, some sneakers and a faux leather jacket. Yep. That’s gonna be me.

PS. If you even had a thought, even for a moment, that you shouldn’t wear this much print…THROW THAT THOUGHT OUT THE WINDOW AND RUN OVER IT. You can wear whatever you please. Give them somethin to look at hunni!

Ah. The infamous tunic. You know...the shirt that is supposed to go past your booty but usually ends up just looking like a typical shirt on us. Yep. That tunic.

Well, today I have a real, tall tunic that shatters all of your tunic disappointments. It fits just like a bonafied, tried and true tunic should. Long, with long arms and full booty coverage. Cha-ching my tall friend!

The Two Pocket Tunic Shirt is one of the new arrivals in the Long Tall Sally Spring Collection. I am obviously in love with the fit, but also the versatility and vibrant color. This season, blue has in many ways become the new black so you can rock it in many different ways with many different colors and patterns.

I love pairing blue and black together and stripes are my jam right now so I whipped up this look and absolutely love it. And before I get any comments...yes...this is the hat you have seen in like 3 of my other posts. Listen, I wear things more than once (gasp). In addition, I have a rather large head which makes selecting hats a difficult task. Thus, when I find one that works, I rocketh it ofteneth.

I also have to talk about this crossbody clutch. I found the actual clutch at a used bag place in Oakland for $6.99. It had an ugly rope handle, so me with my DIY self, cut it off and replaced it with black chain and clasps. I love it because you can adjust the length really easily with the clasps and, well, it looks cool.

I really want to say something else whitty but it's 1amish and I am one tired tall girl so I leave you to sleep and have sweet dreams. Smooches!

When I saw the 99 problems tee from Height Goddess I said out loud, Yes hunni! I know that's right!

Yes. I talk out loud often. I like to think of it as conversations with myself and they are some of the best conversations ever but let's get back to the task at hand...

This shirt is the absolute truth! Being tall is not a problem, it's a privilege and I am so happy that Height Goddess made a shirt to tell the world. HG also made some other amazing shirts including; Life is short but I'm not, love tall, nope just wearing flats and Height Goddesses motto, tall never looked so good. The shirts themselves are super soft and cut in the perfect tall-short manner.

Now, I love a good casual t-shirt/skinnies look but don't put your tees in a kick back box. You can dress them up or down. From work to a date night, you can style a tee in a plethora of ways. This is the happy hour that turns into a night out with the girls that turns into breakfast with the homies at 2 a.m. look but you could easily swap out the skirt and bag and rock it to work. Long story short, rock your tee in any and every way you want to.

So which Height Goddess tee would you rock and more importantly how would you rock that bad boy? There is no wrong answer:)
